Summer

As most of you on the mainland are rejoicing that the summer is drawing near, I'm almost feeling the opposite. Summer here means I always have to have at least one fan running in my apartment. If it could just stay "Spring" here all year, I'd be perfectly happy. Maybe one or two cool, rainy days for good measure.

One good thing about the summer here is that I can finally enjoy some of the North Shore beaches that were previously verboten. The waves can literally kill people in the Winter. So that means it's snorkeling season again!

Today my friend Natalia and I hit up Shark's Cove. My favorite thing to see are the green sea turtles. We were stalking this little guy, when we saw this HUGE guy. I might have gotten a little too close once or twice...

We also saw a lot of the usual fish, like these guys...

Here's Natalia!
This weekend was mostly a beach bumming weekend for me, except today. I've got a lot of fun things planned for the next few weekends. I guess the summer in Hawaii is pretty good after all!
