Veterans Day

It's such a blessing to be stationed somewhere that is full of history. I like to try to do things on each holiday that are meaningful to that day, instead of simply enjoying a day off. I mean, that's why they are holidays, right?

For Veteran's Day, Paula and I went to a ceremony on the USS Missouri. I took the opportunity to work with my camera a little more. I am definitely still way on the novice side of photography, but it was fun to play around with the camera.

Here's the USS Arizona Memorial, just a little after sunset.
On the deck of the USS Missouri. I gave this one an aged, slightly weathered look.
The breeze was definitely going.

I need to start testing the camera on human subjects too! Paula was such a good model.
So I mostly focused on photography in this post. But I do want to take a second to ask that everyone remember the brave men and women in arms who serve us every day.
