Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve on the North Shore of Hawaii...and I spent the morning laying on the beach! I'm going to the Candlelight Service and Christmas Cantata tonight at Schofield Barracks, in hopes that it'll make it actually feel like Christmas. Tomorrow will be spent with my good friends from Navigators and some mutual friends (like Meredith and Tom!). Although this time of year is making me a little homesick, I'm glad to have such wonderful friends here who have become my family away from home.

Saturday starts the New Year's Resolution time. This year I'm organizing my life a little better and being more of a real grown-up. That means making a budget (and sticking to it), downsizing in my apartment (in certain things) and gathering some new things for it as well. I'm constantly refining the decor and organization of my apartment, so I'm kicking it off with a trip to Goodwill to donate some things I've been meaning to and doing a little treasure hunt as well. My last trip there was so successful that I'm hoping to repeat that!

Mele Kalikimaka!
