For some reason I think a lot about where my life will be in (less than) 3 years. My active duty obligation is 4 years, and I have no clue whether or not I'll stay in past my commitment. I've come up with a list of possibilities in the case I don't stay in: grad school (shocking, I know), transportation/logistics type job, ministry, etc.
I spent quite a few hours yesterday and today with my friend Wendy and her two children. (Yesterday, it was four children, all two and under.) Those of you who know me well know I love children--especially young ones. Then I thought, why not be an au pair if you get out and are still single?
Chew on that one, kids.
